The safety of young people is our number one priority. Kids of all ages should have a positive experience whenever they’re involved in golf, and should always feel able to speak up and be heard.
To achieve our vision, we’ve established a consistent set of policies for adults who work with children in golf. We want employees, volunteers and clubs to develop good strategies for meeting these expectations, throughout the UK and Ireland. If our criteria can be met across the board, we think children will be better protected, and the adults who work with them better informed.
Our culture and values
SCiG will always put kids and young people first. We aim to direct our efforts and resources where they will have the best possible effect in terms of children’s welfare.
If you want to know more about our work, each industry group that is part of the SCiG network has a Lead Child Protection Officer you can speak to. Just consult their individual websites, listed below, for contact information. You can also sign up for our email updates, which will keep you posted on our activities.
